The UCSF Program for the Investigation and Training in Careers in Health (PITCH)

The UCSF Program for the Investigation and Training in Careers in Health (PITCH) is an immersive three-week summer program designed to inspire and empower first-generation and low-income students interested in exploring health and medical sciences careers. Through hands-on learning and mentorship, PITCH participants will:

  • Discover the healthcare landscape: Explore connections across health and medicine to gain a deeper understanding of the field.
  • Collaborate with UCSF mentors to investigate critical health issues and present their findings at the PITCH Health Symposium.
  • Prepare for college success: Receive expert guidance on navigating postsecondary options and planning for your future.

Program dates: July 6 – July 24, 2026

Eligibility requirements

  • 2.5 UC/CSU GPA
  • Rising 10th & 11th grader (c/o ‘28 & ‘29)
