Check out Chabot Space & Science Center’s Galaxy Explorers Program: The GE Program is Chabot’s workforce development pipeline to STEM careers. Build your skills in coding, CAD, data science, graphic design, videography, prototyping, and more through volunteer service. Financial assistance is available for students based on need.

The program is seeking current 9th and 10th grade Bay Area students looking for STEM workforce development for their high school tenure. Apply now until March 31! No experience necessary.

Do you dream of exploring the stars? Designing rockets? Teaching others about space? Gain hands-on experience with analyzing satellite data, 3D print your own rover parts, or make your own dry ice comet. Through experience, engagement, and leadership, Galaxy Explorers get to build the valuable skills to get ready for the workforce of the future.

For nearly 30 years, the Galaxy Explorers Program has been a fun STEM engagement opportunity for young people across the Bay Area. Now, Chabot is developing the next generation of engineers, astronomers, data scientists, educators, researchers, and more STEM professionals. Galaxy Explorers gain hands-on experience with real workplace problems and work in Teams to solve them. With flexible scheduling, GEs come to Chabot year-round to open themselves up for a world of new possibilities.
