Volunteer opportunities for teens (16+) at the Bay Area Science Festival

Announcing volunteer opportunities for teens (16+) at the Bay Area Science Festival on October 17th!

The Bay Area Science Festival is looking for volunteers for this year’s festival on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the UCSF Mission Bay Campus.

About the festival: This free event celebrates the Bay Area’s unique science and technology. Scientists from UCSF, other local universities, nonprofits, companies, and museums will share their work and passion through hands-on activities, performances, and robots designed to inspire future scientists of all ages. Centered on UCSF’s Koret Quad, the festival will feature hundreds of interactive activities, thought-provoking conversations, film screenings, and tours of cutting-edge facilities. Volunteer roles: Duties typically include helping with event setup and teardown, staffing information booths, and more. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

How to sign up: Complete the interest form, and you’ll receive an email with available roles, shift times, and an application.
