Summer Volunteer Opportunities from Scientific Adventures For Girls

Scientific Adventures For Girls is excited to announce that they are looking for volunteers (ages 15+) to support their summer programs this year! Interested? Complete the volunteer interest form.

This summer, SAfG will be hosting programs at a variety of locations, including:

  • Alameda Libraries
  • Richmond Libraries
  • Summer camps at elementary schools across Richmond and Oakland
  • Boys & Girls Club sites in Oakland

Volunteers will help support students during hands-on STEM activities, assist staff with program setup and organization, help create a positive learning environment, and serve as mentors and role models for younger students.

This is a great opportunity to:

  • Earn volunteer hours
  • Gain leadership and teaching experience
  • Work with youth in your community
  • Explore STEM education and outreach

Programs will take place throughout the summer, and volunteer opportunities vary by location and schedule.

To volunteer, you must:

  • Be at least 15 years old
  • Be responsible, positive, and ready to work with students
  • Commit to showing up on time and supporting the program staff

If you are interested in volunteering, please email or complete the volunteer interest form.
